After first airing on Paramount+, the series aired on France 2 with Zorro starring Jean Dujardin as the legendary masked vigilante. Unfortunately, after only two weeks of programming (eight episodes were offered over two evenings), the fiction is already coming. It will end on the channel this Monday, December 30, from 9:10 p.m.
Will the Zorro series get a second season?
Moreover, viewers will undoubtedly want to know if the adventures of Don Diego de la Vega and his faithful ally Bernardo (whose interpreter is actually not deaf and dumb!) will continue in the second season… Creator Benjamin Charbit spoke to AlloCiné about this topic, who revealed to us that the series will not have a continuation.
He states: “Honestly, I don’t have an answer. I thought the series was more of a closed object that would test the indentations of this mask… I feel like I said what I needed to say about Zoro. I want to be interested in other characters.“
An unforgettable adventure
Despite this bad news, Jean Dujardin is undoubtedly keeping this project, in which he was particularly invested (we know the luxurious locations of the series!). At our microphone, for example, Benjamin Charbit recalled the actor’s enthusiasm to perform as many stunts as possible:
Jean did a lot of stunts. He wanted to have fun! He wanted it to be a physical role. He often says, “I’m an exterior actor.” Already, he walks majestically on horses Mario Luraski .”
“Then he was really working on how to walk like a Spanish nobleman. The sword, the fighting… Jean was very professional and he would ask, ‘How far can I go without getting hurt?'” He did, I think, 90% of the stunts.Benjamin Charbit ends.
Zorro is available on Paramount+ or in repeats on france.tv.
