Warning – This article contains spoilers for Black Panther 2
After the death of Chadwick Boseman in August 2020, Marvel decided not to replace the actor in the Black Panther films. Thus, in the second part of the adventures of the superhero of Wakanda, T’Challa died, and it was his sister Shuria, played by actress Letitia Wright.
A new interpreter for T’Challa?
But, according to Scooper The InsiderT’Challa could return with a new look in the next Marvel movies, especially thanks to the multiverse and variants. If Robert Downey Jr. — ex-Iron Man — returns to play the villain Dr. Doom, a new iteration of T’Challa could come in future films as well. According to Jeff Snyder’s report, Idea House approached the Hollywood star last year to play T’Challa, but was turned down.
Or bring back T’Challa Jr. ?
Another solution would be to jump back in time to a few years after Black Panther 2 and find out that the Black Panther suit currently held by Shuri, the son of T’Challa and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), exists. Finally Wakanda forever. The couple actually had a boy named T’Challa (and he was played on screen by a young Divine Love Konadu-Sun).
Avengers: Judgment Day and Avengers: Secret Wars, which hit theaters on April 29, 2026, and May 5, 2027, respectively, will be written by Ryan Coogler, who already worked on the previous ops, for the third Black Panther film. We already know that Denzel Washington will be coming to the MCU thanks to this feature film. The release date has not been announced yet.
