At the scene, the members of the Hellfire Club are stunned by their leader’s words, and although they try to avoid him, Eddie assures them that they will have to eliminate him. Then the game of Dungeons and Dragons begins, but slowly the players fall, until Erika Sinclair wins the game.
Some fans of the Netflix series believe that Eddie’s dialogue is an allegory of the situation in which the group of friends left Henry (Number 01) after their confrontation in the final chapters of the fourth season, as Will assured that he is not dead, only very hurt.
Consequently, several netizens have claimed that Henry (Vecna) will return for the fifth season, but he will be missing a limb and an eye, as Eddie said during the match.
Additionally, they believe that the victims of evil will return as illusions, since the leader of the Hellfire Club mentioned that the cloaks (Vecna’s followers in the board game) had this power.
