THE Internal affairs of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo This Thursday, the 16th, the operation began Wheels to investigate the involvement of agents in the death of Antonio Vinicius Lopes Gritzbach, informant in a money laundering investigation by First command of the capital (PCC). “Among those under investigation is a military police officer identified as the perpetrator of the shots that killed Gritzbach,” the military police said.

The investigation led to the issuing of 15 preventive arrest warrants and 7 search and seizure warrants for addresses in the capital and Greater São Paulo.

The businessman was shot dead in Terminal 2 of Guarulhos International Airportin Greater São Paulo on November 8 last year. Military police officers provided a private escort to Gritzbach.



According to the Prime Minister, the operation began after an anonymous complaint received in March 2024, which reported possible leaks of confidential information favoring criminals linked to the faction.

The initial investigation, conducted by the Department of Internal Affairs, evolved into a Military Police investigation opened in October 2024.

“It was found that strategic information leaked by military police officers, including active, reserve and former members of the Institution, allowed members of the criminal organization to avoid arrests and financial losses. Among the main beneficiaries of the program there were leaders and members of the military police criminal faction PCC, some already deceased, others wanted, such as Marcos Roberto de Almeida, known as ‘Tuta’, and Silvio Luiz Ferreira, nicknamed ‘Cebola'”, he said the Prime Minister.

The operation relies on the collaboration of the Task Force established by the Secretariat of Public Security, which seeks to identify other subjects involved and possible instigators of the crime.
