James Gunn’s major reboot of the DC Comics universe has brought an end to the main ongoing production run. Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Superman (Henry Cavill) in the Snyderverse and Arrowverse series (Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, etc.) have ended to make way for an all-new version. of the superhero franchise.
Some performances have still managed to slip through the cracks, be it Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, Robert Pattinson’s Batman or John Cena’s Peacemaker. But that’s not all, because the series, which was very popular among fans, also remained in production. Rated 4.2 out of 5 by AlloCiné internet users, the latter returns to us for season 5.
This series is none other than Harley Quinn, an animated production dedicated to the famous antagonist. Now freed from the Joker, the latter lives on his own adventures, surrounded by a team of supervillains consisting of, namely, Poison Ivy, King Shark and Clayface. The series makes numerous references to the DC Comics franchise, with a tone as irreverent as its main character.
A character already known to several translators
The character has been a huge success with the public thanks to Margot Robbie’s interpretations in Suicide Squad and more recently Lady Gaga in Joker 2. But it’s another actress who voices Harley Quinn in this animated version, as she is voiced by Kaley Cuoco – an actress well known to fans of The Big Bang Theory.
The performance of the American actor was also appreciated by many fans. Some also don’t favor the aforementioned live-action interpretations, considering it one of the best, certainly since the late Arlin Sorkin’s performance in the Batman animated series.
Note that the French version does not feature this cast change, as Harley Quinn from the movies and the animated version are the same actress: Dorothe Pousseau. This relationship between different DC products is therefore specific to VF.
