Abel Ferreira’s team takes the field on Saturday (18th) against Noroeste for the Paulistão
Palmeiras started the year on the right foot, after beating Portuguesa on Wednesday in the 1st round of the Campeonato Paulista (15). The score of 2-0 placed Alviverde at the top of group D, now the club is looking for three more points against Noroeste this Saturday (18) to stay in position and be the best championship of the Paulistão.
In group D, Verdão is followed by São Bernardo, with 3 points, and the teams that did not score, Ponte Preta and Velo Clube.
However, the North East is not expected to make life easy for visitors to Bauru. The current leader of group C beat Velo Clube last Wednesday (15) 2-0, and wants the three points to maintain its position above San Paolo, Água Santa and Novorizontino, who have not yet scored in the championship.
The ball rolls at the Alfredo de Castilho stadium at 6.30pm (Brasilia time) with broadcast on CazéTV (YouTube) and Record (open TV).
