Palmeiras insists on Matheus Pereira, but clashes with Cruzeiro’s desire

Cruzeiro has already informed Palmeiras that they will only sit down and talk with at least 25 million euros on the table (R$155 million).

Palmeiras wants to strengthen its creative sector and, to this end, enters the market with one target: midfielder Matheus Pereira. However, it clashes with the wishes of the Cruzeiro council.

Raposa has already made it clear that Pereira is not negotiable at the moment and has set a very high price to start any conversation. In January, Pedro Lourenço had guaranteed that negotiations would begin with a figure of 25 million euros (around 155 million reais).

Palmeiras, however, continues with its attempts. In recent days the São Paulo council made a new proposal: 14 million euros (88 million R$). The information initially released by the Goal portal.

Cruzeiro understands that Matheus Pereira is essential to the current project, as well as being one of the big names in the midfield of Brazilian football. Therefore, the board is not willing to enter into negotiations.

Pereira, in fact, has been in the sights of the celestial team since the end of last year. Since then, however, the situation has not improved and the trend is for it to remain that way.
