Movie Quiz: If you score a 9/9, we’ll give you a big hug!

Movie Quiz: If you score a 9/9, we’ll give you a big hug!

Exactly two years ago, on the occasion of International Hug Day, we presented you with a quiz about the most famous “hugs” in cinema.

In the first picture, for example, we can see a man whose face is hidden because he is hugged by another and partially hidden by an open shirt. That didn’t stop the vast majority of you (about 80%) from recognizing actor Edward Norton in the arms of late singer Mitt Loaf at the beginning of David Fincher’s Fight Club in one of the discussion groups.

The next image came from a cartoon, and this time we saw a young girl kneeling on the ground, her father and mother hugging her on both sides. Here again, nearly three-quarters of you found the correct answer by identifying little Riley, who, after going through all the emotions, found comfort with her parents in the finale of Vice-Versa from the Pixar-Disney studio.

From the third question, the game got tougher, and even though Leonardo DiCaprio was in the picture, only half of you found the right answer. The presence of actress Michelle Williams in this scene visually echoes Gustav Klimt’s painting The Kiss, which was a big clue to Martin Scorsese’s recognition of Shutter Island.

And as is often the case with the quizzes we offer, the last picture was the real challenge – when it’s not a trap – and only a quarter of you were able to mark the correct answer, Paris, Texas, with its picture. Nastasia Kinski hugs her son at the end of Wim Wenders’ film.

Two years later, today we present a new quiz on some famous movie capers to identify nine new films. Pay attention to the last picture…
