This is one of the biggest foreign hits in the history of Netflix. Lupine’s series, a modern reinterpretation of Maurice LeBlanc’s classics, allows France to shine all over the world while Omar Sai plays a new distinctive role. The translator even signed an exclusive contract with the platform to develop original films as an actor and executive producer.
Part 3 is being filmed, but the program world may go beyond the story of Asan Diop. This is confirmed by two leaders of Gaumont, Sidon Dumas, General Manager of the company and Christoph Riande, its Vice President.
The latter reveals, st Interview Given to American media term: “Several spin-offs are in development, but nothing more can be said about them. Once we have completed Part 3, we will see how we can move forward on this topic. Netflix will make that decision.. ”
The enthusiasm for the series is such that various sequels can obviously interest the platform. It remains to be seen which characters we will follow in these side projects. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in July 2021, Omar Saim pointed out some of the leaders and possible new characters in Part 3:
“In the books, Lupine has many accomplices. In the series, he only has Benjamin, but he needs help, so he hires them, as he did with Philip. (…) is a thoughtful leader, but he can not do everything by himself, he needs help. Uniting people in their work is also one of his talents.. ”
Without an official date yet, Lupine Part 3 should land on the platform in late 2022 or early 2023.
