Julia Soares was presented as an athlete of ESporte Club Pinheiros this Friday (24), in a press conference held at the Olympic gymnastics gym and commented on the departure of Curitiba and the new challenges in one of the main Olympic clubs in Brazil. In addition to Julia, ECP techniques also reached ECP, Carol Molinari and Ilyashenko.
– I owe everything to Curitiba and Cegin, but it came at a time in your life that you need to evolve, escape comfort and seek new challenges. I have always wanted to defend a great club with the history that Pinheiros has. A club that has an idol like Arthur Nory, its Olympic history. All this motivated me to change. Julia Soares’ first idol was her older sister, Giovanna, who was already a gymnast and inspired the Olympic medalist to enter the sport at the age of four. At the age of 19, Julia was inspired by Daiane Dos Santos to create the Soares element in the post – approved by Fig – and was encouraged by her two techniques, Carol and Iyna. Fellow selection, Rebeca Andrade is another inspiration for Curitibana.
– The first was my sister Giovanna. It was the first inspiration because I was four years old, eight and he was already doing gymnastics.
