Harry Styles talks about his first sex scene in the cinema

“I don’t know if you’re going to be able to watch it with your parents.”

Harry Styles, whom we saw last year in Marvel’s ‘Eternals’, has spoken about what it was like shooting your first sex scene in the cinema. This year, the One Direction star will appear opposite Florence Pugh in the psychological thriller ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, as well as ‘My Policeman’, where he plays a gay cop in 1950s Brighton.

In conversation with Roman Kemp on Capital FM Last week, Styles had to answer the question of whether the sex scenes of both movies could be seen in the company of our parents.

“I don’t know if you’re going to be able to see them with your parents. I’m going to have to do a different one”he joked.

The topic of conversation inevitably turned to intimate scenes, with the radio host making reference to the technique of using a basketball (or netball) half inflated to facilitate simulated sex. “Personally, I had no experience with it. netball. I think it depends a lot on who you’re working with and what the situation is.”Styles said. “All I can say from my own experience is that I was very lucky to have a very trusting relationship with the people we worked with and that was the first thing”.

Styles, who confirmed last year that he is dating Olivia Wilde, went on to say: “Everything was discussed and everything was very nice, you know … Above the production, above everything that is happening with the cameras, with us, we are doing this together, we trust each other and at any time we can stop and all that kind of stuff”.

Though it’s unclear which shoot he was recalling with this line, judging by the mysterious ten-second sneak peek of ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, there is certainly something shocking and exciting in that movie.
