The series of documentaries Nesse Planeta was produced in collaboration with World Fund for Nature (WWF), and is presented by the British naturalist Sir David Attenborough. The production shows the journey that embraces the biological diversity and the fragility of the earth, making the climate change that have an impact on all its inhabitants evident, including human beings.

It has two seasons and addresses important issues such as the conservation of the environment, the preservation of natural ecosystems and the protection of wildlife, essential to guarantee the future of our planet.

Discovery’s series of documentaries aims to show how the universe and processes for its operation was created, such as the birth of the stars, the mysteries of black holes and the theory of the Big Bang.

There are ten seasons, the first of which has eight episodes lasting about 45 minutes. In them are also covered on dark matter, the boundaries of the Solar System, the emergence of life on earth and the origins of the universe, for example.

The episodes from the third to the tenth season are available on Maximum.

6 – Astrolab

The purpose of the Astrolab series is to present curiosity, data and theories on the universe, using accessible language. The production is documentary and made by TV Unesp, in collaboration with the Astronomical Observatory Lionel José Andriatto, of the same University, Bauru, San Paolo.

There are three seasons with episodes lasting about 7 minutes each, the first of which talks about Saturn, Venus and the other planets of the Solar System. The other seasons concern meteoric shamans, eclipses and space debris, in addition to the appearance of stars, distances from the universe and more.

7 – challenger: final flight

The series of documentaries tells the tragedy in 1986, when the Challenger space shuttle exploded and killed the seven astronauts on board. The production examines the events that led to the accident, in addition to the consequences of the accident in the spatial exploration of NASA.

There are four episodes that show interviews with relatives, friends and colleagues of the mission, as well as telling the story of the astronauts and how everyone has arrived there, and the sequence of errors that caused the accident.

This is the topic that deals with the series of documentaries “Journey to infinity”, with interviews with the theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli, one of the creators of the theory of quantum severity with loops, together with mathematics, cosmologists and philosophers.

These are chapters that, together, last 1h19, in a production in which professionals try to explain what infinite is, how it works and where to find it, with the help of animations that help to understand this complex topic.

Black holes are fascinating and intriguing astronomical objects, who question astronomy, physics, mathematics and even philosophy professionals. In the series, the viewer follows the observers and theoretical physicists who study the topic, with two important collaborations.

The first was led by Stephen Hawking, who aimed to demonstrate that black holes do not destroy the past. Another group, meanwhile, worked in the observers installed at the highest shares in the world. The common goal was to create a virtual telescope of the size of the planet, to capture the first real image of a black hole, which really happened.

10 – The launch on the moon of the Apollo – Mission on the Moon

The series of documentaries was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the landing on the moon of the Apollo 11 mission, which took place on 20 July 1969. The production presents the history of the Lunar program with NASA crew, as well as highlighting the sense of urgency, the uncertainties and the public interest that was part of the race to space.

There are six parts that recall the events that brought the first men to the moon, also presenting some rare artifacts from the vaults of the National Air and Space Museum of Smithsonian.
