Twenty One Pilots conclude their visit to Brazil with a mesmerizing show at SP

Last Saturday night, the 26th, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun took the stage at Allianz Parque in an epic performance; find out what the band’s show was like in SP

I wish I found chords in a new order / I wish I didn’t have to rhyme every time I sing / I was told that when I grew up all my fears would subside / But now I’m insecure and I care what people think,” he sings Tyler Joseph in one of the verses of “Stressed,” hit Twenty-one pilotswhich curiously rhymes (in English) at the end. The song was celebrated at the top of its lungs during a show by the band (also made up of the drummer Josh Dun) last Sunday night, the 26th, at Allianz Parkin Sao Paulo.

It is worth remembering how this was the group’s show in Brazil Clancy’s world tourit was also successful Curitiba (22/01) e Rio de Janeiro (24/01). In Latin America the artists have also scheduled presentations at Colombia, Chile, Argentina AND Mexico. In the rendezvous in the capital of Sao Paulo, fans camped out, arrived early to queue and were surprised by a long rain in the city, but this prevented anyone from getting very emotional during the night.

However, before the main attraction of the evening took to the stadium stage, the New Zealand band groove-popBalu Brigademade up of brothers Henry AND Pierre Beasleywas responsible for the opening show – very charming and charismatic, indeed. Also a duo, they sang seven songs in total, such as “Designer” AND “Find a way.” Interestingly, the rain stopped shortly before the New Zealanders appeared.

Punctually at 8.45pm (Brasilia time), scheduled for the start of the Twenty-one pilots, Josh Dun he took the stage to begin the opening with “Overcompensate,” driven by the rising, powerful rhythm of his drums. His skill and facility with the instrument were definitely one of the highlights of the evening. So, Tyler Joseph he entered triumphantly jumping on the piano.

Masked, the singer continued with his face covered by the character’s characteristic mask Clancywho has since been the protagonist of the narrative told by the band’s studio albums Blurred face (2015). The audience only saw Joseph’s face in the fourth song of the evening, “Car radio,” when he “teleports” himself (with the resources of an on-stage stunt double and pre-recorded on-stage images) to a high platform, on which he sings the chorus”and now I sit in silence.”

With a truly explosive start, the show calmed down with love songs”The Desire (Jenna’s Version)” AND “Tears in my heart“, dedicated to Jenna Giuseppethe singer’s wife, who inspires (at least) one song per album. During the first song, played with a ukulele and synthesizers, the audience enhanced the images with cell phone flashlights. “You guys look beautiful tonight,” praised the 36-year-old singer.

In the direction Phase Blocated between Premium Track AND Common track, Joseph sung”Routine in the night” on the floor, as he made his way to the place. When he got there, he finished the song and went into a medley of four old songs (“Employee with a pen“/”Migraine“/”Forest“/”Fall“) AND “Via dei Gelsi,” in which he coordinated the lights of the stands and platforms. Very suggestive stage presence – as usual in the shows of the Twenty-one pilots.

No rain! Joshare you OK? Exactly,” he joked. Tyler Joseph node Phase B.

The first cute and emotional moment of the evening happened right then Phase Bduring “Via dei Gelsi‘The fans and the public screamed’TylerI love you,” and the artist could not hide his emotion and responded to the audience: Stop, you make me cry, don’t do it.”

When Twenty-one pilots back on the main stage, the scene has changed a lot. A large black curtain fell and revealed the lower part, which showed the nine towers of the bishops of Dema (fictional nation/city/country that imprisons the character Clancywho fights against the dictatorship imposed by the hooded villains).

After running “Navigation,”the band would start”Nico and the Niners,” But Tyler Joseph interrupted to help a person in the audience who was feeling ill, on the left Premium Track. He asked the public to step aside so that security guards and medical personnel could help the person.

In the final part of the presentation, after the relaxed and fun atmosphere”Sumptuous,” in which Josh AND Tyler they even simulate a wedding choreography (the bouquet, in fact, is a vest worn by the drummer with the writing “Saint Paul“), another cute moment came. At the end of “Ride”, the singer asked a child fan for help, Maria Luisawho with a lot of charisma did an excellent job.

The best was saved for last. In addition to commanding the drums and some synthesizer instruments, Josh Dun shook the chants for “Paladin Strait,” “Midwest Indigo” AND “Stressed.” Already halfway through Premium Trackthe duo concluded the show at Allianz Park in an apotheotic, surprising and fascinating way.

This was the fifth time Twenty-one pilots in Brazilian territory, but the first in a solo tour in South America. The band has proven time and again and in different ways that they have one of the most captivating, interesting and interesting shows to watch today, whether you are in Brazil. Premium Track, Upper chair, Lower chair OR Common track.
