The coach of Santos Pedro Cabininha suffered an ophthalmological surgical procedure after a detachment of the retina of the left eye. The procedure was performed on Sunday (2).

According to the club, the intervention occurred at the Ophthalmic Ophthalmic Hospital, a reference in the specialty, being successfully finalized. The coach will remain at rest and follow a postoperative program during the week to return to fishing activities.

“The coach Pedro Caixinha was subjected to ophthalmic surgical procedure for the detachment of the retina from the left eye. The intervention was performed on Sunday (2) in the morning, at the Ophthalmological Laser hospital, reference in ophthalmology, from the medical team Led by Professor Dr. Luiz Roberto Colombolo Colombobo Barboza (emeritus of the Brazilian College of Surgeons and Full Member of the Brazilian Society of Retina and Vitreous).

Surgical planning was performed according to programming, without complications. Pedro Caixinha is going well and remains at rest. The Santos coach is in a rigorous postoperative this week, in order to be safely discharged so that he can resume his activities to the club“.
