The judge identifies Trump’s order against Usaid employees

The magistrate temporarily suspended a plan of the President of the United States for the mandatory licenses of thousands of workers from the American Assistance Agency. Development (USAID) to leave compulsory license seats.

The order should come into force just before midnight and the NBC network said that judge Carl Nichols of the United States District Court for the Columbia district made the decision after listening to the topics of the Republican Administration and two associations of federal public employees. This claimed that the orders exposed the agency workers abroad to difficult difficulties and risks.

The government plan included a license for all 2,200 employees in the country and the removal of almost all foreign workers within 30 days.

About 2,200 employees had received a notification of the administrative license requirement until 11:59 (local time), although 500, according to a lawyer of the court, had already taken the measure.

Drastic reduction

The New York Times had reported that, in accordance with Trump’s guidelines, Usaid would drastically reduce his team to the point of eliminating almost all his 10,000 employees and save only 290 positions considered “essential”.

The United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who now depends on Trump’s decision, had justified layoffs not only for efficiency, but also as punishment for a movement of “insubordination” among the thousands of affected.

In an interview with Fox News this week, the head of American diplomacy said she discovered that the agency employees were “totally non -cooperative”, so there was no “no choice” to make “drastic” decisions to be put to the control of the situation under control.

The plan to effectively eliminate Usaid was consistent with Trump’s announcement to cut the country’s spending for international aid projects, through Usaid, United Nations agencies or other NGOs. Responsible for 47% of global expenditure in humanitarian assistance.

The employees of the agency’s so -called foreign service received 30 days to return to the United States, while the internal employees were notified by a message on the United Nations website Tuesday that would be fired on Friday.

Sign taken from the headquarters

The Agency’s headquarters, at the Ronald Reagan Building, a few isolated from the White House, was closed since last Monday, after the agency’s workers received an and -mail asking them to stay at home.

On Friday, the sign with the name of the facade agency was removed and the logo at the front door was covered by a garbage bag. After these changes, there is no trace of the Agency’s headquarters.

Usaid was created in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy to guarantee the administration of the United States international humanitarian aid, through the organization of international projects to combat poverty, diseases and respond to hunger and natural catastrophes.

The administration led by Donald Trump, who ordered Usaid’s dismantling, says that it is inefficient, unnecessarily subsidizes programs of equality and sustainability all over the world.
