No! Don’t Look!: Jordan Peele Explains Film Difference to Run! it is us

Jordan Peele’s New Movie, No! Do not look! premieres on August 18 in Brazil

Jordan Peele became one of the biggest names among horror directors by bringing scary films with social criticism, such as Run! (2017), followed by We! (2019). However, if the public expects “more of the same” with No! Do not look!the filmmaker’s new film, may be surprised.

“I felt strongly that I couldn’t give people the same thing. That’s just not the point of making movies,” he told the Yahoo! at a press conference in No! Do not look! In Los Angeles.

“It’s about entering an uncomfortable space and the uncomfortable space with this [filme] it was really the scope and adventure of taking over cinema with sheer and reckless abandon,” added the director.

starring Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer, No! Do not look!features two brothers who have taken over the family business – training animals for Hollywood productions – and discover a UFO in the clouds above their rural California ranch. Because of the plot, the film has drawn comparisons with Close Encounters of the Third Degree(1977), from Steven Spielbergand even with Shark (1975).

Spielberg has always been an absolute game changer for me,” said peel. “I looked at all the big ones, really. I took inspiration from all the great directors on this one. Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson. All these directors who changed the trajectory of how I think about cinema.”
