The vehicle industry decreased by 33.5% in vehicles sales in January compared to December, while production decreased by 7.7%, said the car association on Monday.
Sales amounted to 171.2 thousand cars, light advertising, trucks and new buses, while the production was 175.5 thousand units, according to the data of the entity.
Compared to January 2024, sales grew by 6% and production had an advance of 15.1%.
Despite the autumn before December, sales were the best for the month from 193,500 units of January 2020. The production was the largest for January from 200,400 vehicles established in 2021.
Amphavea also stated that the exports of the Brazilian vehicle in January amounted to 28,700 vehicles, growing by 52.3% over a year earlier.
