Botafogo defends the lawn from Nilton Santos after the poster

In a declaration, the club defends the use of the synthetic grass and speaks of the game against Palmeiras, compared to the “Premier League” level

Botafogo spoke on Tuesday night (18) of the manifesto performed by the players against the synthetic lawn. As Palmeiras did, also Tuesday, glorious defended the lawn of his stadium, Nilton Santos, in the north of Rio de Janeiro.

In the note, issued through social networks, Botafogo “reaffirms its defense position of the synthetic lawn”, even calling “hypocrisy” of those who support the natural lawn without restrictions. After all, according to the text, various clubs have conditions that “can generate serious physical consequences” to athletes.

Botafogo also speaks of the quality of the games because of the lawn, revealing international compliments. The note cites a recent “classic” against Palmeiras, in which the “Premier League match” was compared. Nilton Santos’s grass has crossed the process of becoming synthetic in the second half of 2023.
