Channel One and the online cinema Okko announce the start of filming of the large-scale historical project “Love of the Soviet Union”. The main roles in the project will be played by Angelina Strechina, Kirill Kuznetsov, Roman Vasiliev, Roman Madyanov, Angelina Poplavskaya, Vladimir Vinogradov, Elena Muravieva, Denis Nurulin, Alexander Vzmetnev, Fedor Fedotov, Alexander Ustyugov, Sofia Ernst, Agrippina Steklova, Ekaterina Steblina and other artists.
“Love of the Soviet Union” is a film about a generation of brave and beautiful people who did not see the destruction of the revolution and the chaos of the civil war, who dreamed of building a new life in which there would be no place for death, but only incredible love that opens the way for them to great achievements and discoveries. About the exploits and glory, betrayal and loyalty of those who were heroes in heaven and on earth, about the time of immeasurable trials that fell on their short but bright lives. About a woman who was the dream and true love of the Soviet Union.
This is a film about love, – says Anatoly Maksimov, general director of the Directorate of Cinema, general producer of the series. – But not a melodrama, chamber in nature, closed on the personal. It is the story of time told through the story of feeling. Thirties. Time Great, joyful and terrible. When everything is possible and nothing is impossible. Time of change of historical epochs. The cooling of the revolution accompanies the release of young energy: they can live and feel with boundless strength. They don’t have a past, it’s been re-invented especially for them. The story of Adam and Eve is repeated as they live in the Garden created for them by the Enclosure. And then disaster strikes. Death and war bring down a short-lived world of great feeling and great style. Our heroes have been given. Not forever. Not for long. In excitement, I was waiting for the first day of filming, and when I arrived at the site, for the first seconds I just stood with my mouth open, I was so amazed by the scale and beauty: “Wow! This is our movie, and we are filming in it ?!” – says Angelina Strechina, the lead actress. – Expectations and excitement are not accidental, I took part in trials for six months, which sometimes lasted ten hours. Ahead is the work and the embodiment of the image of a wayward and insanely talented actress, as well as the most fearless person. My heroine loves life and lives, she is from that rare category of people who have so much energy that they seem to be on fire, so she is in every sense a huge star.
