Earlier this week, Candace Cameron Bure was involved in another social media incident. Singer JoJo Siwa, while participating in a TikTok trend, called Cameron Bure “the rudest celebrity” he had never found. So far, the actress has apparently only he responded by publishing a verse from the Bible on social But now Cameron Bure has poured some tea, explaining why Siwa gave him that title. He also explained how the two have connected since then.
Candace Cameron Bure dealt with the viral incident during a recent episode of “Candace’s Car Chronicles” posted about her. instagram . During the video, the star explained that she was “shocked” when she saw JoJo Siwa’s TikTok video and then she tried to contact the 19-year-old artist. Cameron Bure has finally reached out to her press officer, thanks to a mutual friend. Once she contacted Siwa herself, the two appeared to have had a friendly chat, during which Siwa revealed that she was surprised at how things had turned out:
We had a great conversation and [JoJo] It was like, ‘Hey, how are you?’ And I said, ‘Well, I’ve been better.’ What happened?’ And she was like, ‘Oh, you know, I didn’t think it was going to go viral and they would pick it up. It was such a stupid trend for TikTok and I didn’t think it was a big deal. “I said,” Well, it was a big deal. “
Obviously, the former Hallmark staple was trying to learn an important question: What did he do to receive Nickelodeon’s “grossest celebrity” alumnus title? From there, Candace Cameron Bure explained that the two met once inside Kelly Clarkson’s show, a meeting that apparently turned out to be “really great”. As she recalled, JoJo Siwa agreed with that assessment in their recent chat, saying Cameron Bure was “super nice”. But as Siwa would explain, all of this stems from something that happened in an event years ago:
In fact, he didn’t want to tell me, because he said he was stupid, that he felt bad and therefore for her it was not serious. But then she said, ‘I met you at the Fuller House premiere, I was 11 and we were all on the red carpet. And when I came to you and said, “Can I have a picture with you?” And you said, “Not now”. And then you continued doing what you were doing and taking pictures with other people on the red carpet. And I was like, ‘Oh JoJo, I’m so sorry. And she says, ‘No, no, no, you weren’t even bad. And she says, “And now I understand as an adult, when you’re on the red carpet and everything happens, and you’re being pulled in different directions. But I was 11 at the time.
So the end result of this little mistake was a sweet mea culpa between the two stars. The DJ Fuller actress went on to say that as a mother, she too would feel bad if one of her children got offended by a celebrity. She then summed up all the social media hype, saying the “lesson” here is that no matter how many followers you have, a video can “hurt” because “we all affect the people around us.” Watch the full video below:

This was certainly one of the more civilized resolutions Candace Cameron Bure has experienced when it comes to a social media dispute. A few years ago, for example, her followers were shocked by a photo showing her husband touching her breasts. Immediately afterwards, Cameron Bure applauded the detractors of the photo, especially the “Christians” who disagreed with it. A few months ago, she too was criticized for not commenting on the Uvalde school shooting. The actress then urged fans not to see her silence as an indicator of her position on the issue.
Candace Cameron Bure has no problem defending herself from trolls or setting the record straight on an issue. Fortunately, in JoJo Siwa’s case, everything seems to have gone well. Let’s just hope that similar misunderstandings among the stars can be resolved as respectfully as this one.
