With a message on war and social exclusion, Adrien Brody keeps a speech

After winning a statuette for his performance in Oscar, the actor held a grateful speech with important messages

Adrien Brody beat the Oscar for the best actor for the role of László Tath in “The Bory” Sunday (2). The American actor competed with Colman Domingo (“Sing Sing”), Ralph Fiennes (“Conclave”), Sebastian Stan (“The Apprentice”) and Timothée Chalamet (“A complete stranger”).

In making his thanksgiving speech, the actor started thanking: “Thank you, God. Thanks for this blessed life”.

He highlighted the fragility of the artistic career, underlining that, despite the moments of glamor, nothing is permanent. “What makes this night so special is the awareness of this and the gratitude that I have because I can still do the job I love,” he said.

In a speech full of reflections, he saw the prize not only as the highest point of his trajectory, but as a new beginning. “Winning an award like this means an arrival, but for me it is also the opportunity to start again,” he said.

The actor also shared the result with his professional colleagues and teams. He praised the others nominated, describing them as “wonderful human beings who translate grace, goodness and genius in their work”. He questioned his partner, Georgina, highlighting his positive impact on his life: “Not only did he resume my sense of value, but also my values”.

Another strong point of the speech was the social message. The actor has strengthened his commitment to represent topics such as the trauma of war, systemic oppression, antimismism and racism. “Please for a healthier, happier and inclusive world,” he said. “If the past teaches us something, we cannot leave hatred unnoticed.”

In conclusion, he made a direct appeal to the public. “We fight for what it is right. He continues to smile, to love us. We reconstruct together,” he concluded.
