THE 97th Oscar Ceremony happened this Sunday, March 2, in Dolby Theater, in Los Angelesand brought together the main names of the film industry. Organized by Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciencesthe event awarded productions launched throughout 2024 in various categories, including Best movie, best direction and honors.

The presentation of the ceremony was in charge of Conan O’Brien. The award was broadcast live by ABC in the United States, while in Brazil, the broadcast was made by TV Globo, TNT and by streaming Max.

The highlight of the night was Anorafrom Sean Bakerwhich took Best movie, best direction and best original script. But the biggest surprise came in the category Best actress:Mikey Madison broken FERNANDA TORRES, Demi Moore, Karla Sofa Gasco and Cynthia Erivo. The victory of Madison left a bitter taste for many who expected to see the Brazilian, or even the star of The substancerising to the stage.

No surprise here: Brody delivered one of the most striking performances of his career, and Culkin It was already being pointed out as the right winner.

In the technical categories, Dune: Part 2 received the awards from Best sound and best visual effects, while Wiced he took Best costume and best production design. The music “El Mal”from Emilia Pérezwon as Best original song.

Already in the category Best Supporting Actress, ZOE Saldañafrom Emilia Pérezsurpassed heavy competitors and secured his first Oscar. Another remarkable victory came with Dune: Part 2which won Best sound and best visual effects.
