“Stranger Things”: The writers deny the reissue of the previous seasons

“Stranger Things” is in the final stretch, with only one season to go, but a rumor has been circulating on the web regarding alleged changes and cuts in previous seasons, and this has now been disproved by the show’s writers.

This confirmation comes after rumors that a scene from the first season of the series had been secretly altered. A TVLine article suggests that the Duffer Brothers have returned to the show’s first season and mounted a scene where Jonathan appears to be spying on Nancy in episode 2, titled “Maple Street Stranger”.

The episode shows Jonathan Byers, brother of the then missing Will Byers, in the middle of the forest looking for clues to try to find his brother, when he ends up facing Nancy undressing through Steve’s bedroom window.

So, a theory started circulating on TikTok, that there is an original version of the scene, where Jonathan actually takes a picture of Nancy. But now the official Twitter profile of the editors of “Stranger Things” has denied everything.

“Public Service Announcement: No scenes from previous seasons have been cut or re-edited. And they never will be, “the profile stated in the tweet below. Asked by fans if such a scene from Jonathan is included in this one, the profile confirmed.

Speculation about possible changes to “Stranger Things” arose from a comment by the Duffer brothers themselves, who have already told Variety that they sometimes play George Lucas, referring to the Star Wars director’s habit of re-assembling his films after launch. .

“We’ve been George Lucas about things people don’t know,” said Matt Duffer. The couple declined to mention times they did, but Ross Duffer commented on a way to find out. “You have the physical copies, the Blu-rays and things like that – you should compare,” he said.

But, given the comments from the show’s writers, it’s possible these changes are just for things like visual effects, with no changes to the events of the series itself.

The fifth season of “Stranger Things” will be the last, but there is still no date to arrive. The first four seasons of the series are available on Netflix.
