In a month, Prime Video subscribers will be able to discover Sylvester Stallone as the former superhero turned garbage collector in “The Samaritan,” the trailer for which has just been released.
After playing Captain Ravager Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and King Shark in The Suicide Squad, Sylvester Stallone returns to the superhero genre, but this time with an original film that is not adapted from the comics in which he stars: Samaritan.
In this film by Julius Avery (Son of Guns, The Lord), the legendary rock actor portrays a legendary superhero who has not shown any signs of life for 25 years, now lives in solitude and works as a garbage collector.
But the day he saves his young neighbor, played by Javon Walton (Euphoria, The Umbrella Academy), from a gang of bullies, he recognizes him and makes it his mission to hide before a crime wave hits their hometown of Granite City. .
In the first explosive images released by Amazon, the hero shows off his superhuman strength several times, as well as his ability to regenerate. His alter ego, the famous Samaritan, is also featured in a costume reminiscent of Black Noir, one of the main characters in the TV series The Boys.
