Remastered copy of Eu, Christiane F., 13 Years Old, Drugged and Prostituted arrives in national cinemas from July 28, 2022

To celebrate 40 years of the iconic German drama, Me, Christiane F., 13 years old, Drugged, Prostituted(Christiane F. – Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo) will be re-released in a remastered copy. In an exclusive statement to Rolling Stone Brasil, the singer supple remembered the first time he saw the movie.

It is worth remembering how, in Brazil, the film directed by Uli Edel will be distributed by A2 Films and arrives in national cinemas from July 28, 2022. This Wednesday, July 27, the Rolling Stone Brazil will hold a special session with debate.

“What can I say about Me, Christiane F., 13 years old, Drugged and Prostituted? It’s so sad. When I saw the movie for the first time, I learned a big lesson: I will never inject myself with any needles. It’s an injection and it still stays that way,” said the artist. “It’s the lowest way you can end up with drugs, with heroin. So it was a great lesson.”

Synopsis

Christiane (Natja Brunckhorst) is a 14-year-old girl living in Berlin, Germany in the mid-1970s. She starts going to a club called “Sound” with her older friend kessi (Daniela Jaeger). She soon makes new friends, most of whom are drug addicts, and falls in love with a boy named detlev (Thomas Haustein), who is also a drug addict and prostitute.

Christiane starts taking pills to fit in and then starts taking heroin. Her life starts to fall apart when she becomes a heroin addict and sees the same happening to her friends.

In addition to David Bowie, Brunckhorst, Haustein and jaegerthe production cast also includes Eberhard Auriga, Peggy Bussieck, Lothar Chamski, Rainer Woelk and Uwe Diderich.
