Until 2020 there were no two actors also awarded an Oscar for interpreting the same character in the cinema. By winning the prize for the best actor for the Joker, Joakin Phoenix joined the late Hit Ledger, while winner of the best actors category in 2009, for the Joker version at The Dark Knight.
Almost forty years before, two other actors also won an Oscar for the same role. In the casting of the trilogy, the godfather of Francis Ford Coppola, Marlon Brando and Robert de Niro, was truly awarded for the interpretation of Vito Corleon.
