The 76-year-old actor shows he’s in great shape in the new Amazon Prime Video action movie that premieres on August 26
Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for its new action movie, due out in August. Titled Samaritanthe film features Sylvester Stallone in the lead role, who plays a retired superhero who plans to stay out of the spotlight.

The work tells the story of a boy who discovers that Samaritan may be alive. For all of society, the hero had disappeared after a battle that took place 25 years ago, but the truth is that he was hiding to live out of the spotlight.

Now, the old war hero turned trash will do anything to keep his identity hidden. But it won’t be that easy and he will face some threats.
What to expect from the Samaritan?
The feature film is inspired by Mythos Comics, written by Bragi F. Schut, Marc Olivent and Renzo Podesta and promises a lot of action. Already in the trailer – almost three minutes long – we see that Stallone is in the best shape of him and delivers what the audience expects of him.
In addition to the star, the film has Javon Walton (euphoria), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Pilou Asbæk (game of Thrones) and Dascha Polanco (Orange is the new black). The screenplay was with Bragi F. Schut and directed by Julius Avery.
When does Samaritan debut?
Stallone fans won’t wait long to see him again in a feature film. Samaritan opens on August 26th to the First video.
