Amazon cancels “The Wilds” after two seasons

Amazon has canceled “The Wilds,” which will not return for a third season on the Prime Video platform. Although the platform hasn’t made an official announcement, the survival drama’s cast and crew have already been notified of the decision, Deadline has learned.

First series for the young audience of Amazon, the production ends in a deplorable way, without end for those who have followed the two seasons produced.

“The Wilds” teased the plot of “Yellowjackets”, following a survival story of girls after their plane crashed in an uninhabited region, in this case a desert island. The premise generated a lot of excitement when it launched on December 11, 2020, ensuring a quick revamp. The reaction to the teenage drama was more subdued upon his return last May.

With elements of “Lost” and “Lord of the Flies”, the series was created by writer and producer Sarah Streicher (“Daredevil”) and included young Sophia Ali (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Jenna Clause (“Cold Brook”). ), Reign Edwards (“Snowfall”), Shannon Berry (“Hunters”), Helena Howard (“Don’t Look Deeper”), Erana James (“Golden Boy”), Sarah Pidgeon (“Gotham”) and the newcomer Mia Healey, as well as adults Rachel Griffiths (“Brothers & Sisters”), David Sullivan (“Sharp Objects”), Troy Winbush (“The Goldbergs”) and Greg Bryk (“Bitten”).
