9 health problems that can cause tiredness and lack of energy





Whenever the tiredness and lack of energy persist, this can be a sign of a health problem. There are some foods that can help to provide more disposition, but it is important to consider a doctor for a certain diagnosis of the problem that is causing so much fatigue.

Nutrition Medical Sandra Lúcia Fernandes, professor of the Post -Laurea course at the Brazilian Association of Nutrology, highlights 9 diseases related to the lack of energy.

1. Anemia – Often caused by the lack of iron, it can lead to fatigue, weakness and excessive tiredness. This is because the production of hemoglobin is reduced, reducing the quantity of oxygen that reaches the body tissues.

2. Thyroid disorders – Thyroid problems, such as hypothyroidism (when the thyroid does not produce enough hormones), can cause tiredness, weight gain and lack of arrangement.

3. Diabetes – Diabetes, if not controlled, can cause tiredness due to the increase in blood sugar and the lack of energy supplied to the cells. This is because the body cannot use glucose correctly.

4. Sleep disorders – Night apnea, insomnia or other disorders can cause tiredness during the day, influencing the quality of sleep and the recovery of the body at night.

5. Depression and anxiety – Emotional problems, such as depression and anxiety, often manifest themselves with symptoms of constant tiredness and lack of energy, as well as changes in appetite and sleep.

6. Vitamin deficiency – Especially vitamins D, vitamin B12 and folic acid can lead to fatigue. They are essential for the production of energy in the body and the correct functioning of the nerves.

7. Heart disease – Some heart conditions can make the heart difficulty pumping the blood correctly, with consequent tiredness and lack of energy.

8. Chronic fatigue syndrome – Condition characterized by extreme and persistent tiredness, without clear explanation. Tiredness is so serious that it interferes with normal daily activities.

9. Dehydration – The lack of water in the body can lead to tiredness, headache, difficulty concentration and other symptoms of fatigue.

“It is interesting to note that fatigue, if persistent, should be a warning sign and the reason to consult a doctor, to investigate the possible underlying causes and receive adequate treatment”, concludes the doctor.
