Cinemalizzo will play Rosetta Tharpe in Madrinha do Rock

Lizzowill interpret Sister Rosetta Thape In a biography of the legend of music, which is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios. Besides starring the news, the artist, who debuted as an actress in The scammers (2019), will also produce the movie.

Written by NATALIE CHAIDEZ (The Flight Attendant) and Kwynn Perry (Tigerbelles), Rosetta will tell the story of how Sister Rosetta Thape became the godmother of rock and influenced artists like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Johnny Cash.

An initial description of the project, released by Varietyexplains that the movie “Capture a crucial period in your life – a period of revolutionary innovation, challenging passion and secret love. By breaking musical boundaries with its characteristic guitar sound, Rosetta You should navigate social restrictions, hide your love for another woman, and finally turn a marriage into one of the most legendary concerts in history – the first show at a stadium.“
