A 14 -year -old poodle was saved in a situation of abuse in Fortaleza (CE), already with the tough. After the rescue, the Scooby dog ​​had almost three kilos of earth.

Stefani Rodrigues, from the animal animal protection group (APA), is the new tutor of the animal. The old tutor was arrested in the act.

A complaint was submitted anonymously to APA and led to a police action. In the house where the old tutor lives, Scooby was found with evident signs of negligence.




Seeing the situation of the animal, Stefani was “emotionally shaken” and described the state of Scooby as “something never seen in all my existence of protection and activist”.

“It was a huge visual impact. Today I just want you to forget all the pains. He seemed to carry a second body on the back,” he said in an interview with Earth.

After the rescue, Scooby was brought to a veterinary clinic to receive the first precautions. Due to the debilitated state, the grooming was to be held in two phases.

In the first session, the The veterinarians removed 2.9 kg of dirty and hardened hair. Since the dog had lesions to the skin, the procedure was to be performed manually. “Scooby has been sedated due to the exhaustive removal of the necrotic hair on the skin, where the scissors have not passed,” describes.

The bridegroom was completed the next day, for a total 3 kg of hair removal.

Scooby was also diagnosed with anemia and miias, an infection caused by the Moscow larvae, as well as having an infestation of fleas and ticks and blood nodules on the skin.

“He made me very bad and the desire to show him that not all humans are bad. It shows that it is his opportunity to be happy,” concludes Stefani.

The ex tutor, a 45 -year -old woman, said she didn’t touch Scooby because she was angry and attacked the tarster. However, the docile behavior of the dog after the rescue denied this statement. Detained in the act, the woman was accused of the animal abuse crime. If sentenced, they may be necessary from two to five years in prison.
