As he prepares to say goodbye to Peaky Blinders – whose sixth and final season is set to hit Netflix on June 10 – Stephen Knight unveils his new project. Entitled Rogue Heroes, the six-episode series recalls the creation of the Special Air Service (SAS) in the British Army Special Forces.
It was CANAL + that gained the exclusivity for the still-dated broadcast. Following this announcement, which was officially announced on Wednesday, April 6, at the CANNESERIES festival, the channel released a short 30-second teaser to arouse the expectations of Peaky Blinders fans, but not only that.
The program, adapted from a 2016 novel by Ben McIntyre, follows in the footsteps of eccentric officer David Sterling. After a hospitalized training session goes wrong, he lays out a sharp plan that goes against all the accepted rules of modern warfare. He fights for permission to hire the toughest, most daring and dazzling soldiers in a small secret unit that destroys enemy lines.
