The investor Michael Klein, of the founder family of Casas Bahia, reported on Tuesday evening that he had formalized his request for meeting the shareholders with the proposal to resume the position of president of the company’s board of directors, as informed by his advice.
In his request, in addition to the dismissal of the current President of the Company, Renato Carvalho do Nascimento, there is the request for the departure by the consultant Rogério Paulo Calderón Peres, with the appointment of Luiz Carlos Nannini for the function. The proposal depends on the approval of the shareholders of the Casas Bahia group.
In the text sent to the group, Klein “claims that the company needs a leadership with a strategic vision to adapt the traditional model to the current needs of the consumers’ market,” said advice in a note.
Klein reached 10.4% participation in society, as reported by Casas Bahia Tuesday. According to him, the investment aims to “practicable” his involvement in the management of the company, according to a letter attached to the dealer’s declaration.
Casas Bahia had already informed this morning that Klein had made a request for convocation from the assembly to vote on the dismissal of some members of the Board of Directors.
“The company clarifies that the application is in analysis of its competent bodies and, once the applicable requirements are met, the company will call Age, within the legal deadline,” said the company in a previously pertinent fact.
