The Law and order: organized crime Squad expands into the upcoming third season, with news that two new detectives will arrive on the scene when the hit NBC drama returns. Time Head tends to bring new stars at the start of each story arc (and sometimes lose them by the end of that story arc), the addition of two new detectives to the relatively small Organized Crime Control Bureau raises a question: does the series really bring them. ? to replace some current characters?
Arrow veteran Rick Gonzalez will fight crime in a very different way than he did in the Arrowverse as a detective in the task force, second Term with Pam and TommyIt’s Brent Antonello. There are no further details about their characters other than the fact that they are NYPD detectives who come to the sergeant. Bell’s unit has been announced so far, but that’s enough to fuel some speculation about what their arrivals mean for the existing cast.
Although it is safe to say that Chris Meloni as Elliot Stabler and Danielle MonĂ© Truitt as the sergeant. Bell’s not going anywhere, the other cops on the organized crime task force aren’t necessarily. Allegedly, Ainsley Seiger’s Jet Slootmaekers is safe, both as a fan favorite and as a detective who plays a vital role on the team with unique abilities within it. the universe of nine fucking wolf shows . But what about Maldonado and Cho?
Unlike the other three, Det. Maldonado (Mike Cannon) and Det. Cho (Rachel Lin) hasn’t been there since the beginning, but he joined when Bell’s unit had to work with Brewster early in the second season. They stayed for the rest of the season and were present at the ceremony. from the finale, along with his family and Cragen, in another return to the original SVU with Dan Florek.
There was no sign they were going anywhere, but if anyone from the task force could be replaced by the new characters from Rick Gonzalez and Brent Antonello, it would be these two … at least compared to Stabler, Bell and Jet. From a background narcotic, so it’s not too hard to imagine Head he could simply send Maldonado and Cho back to their old unit to bring the new arrivals.
Season 3 is a new era for Organized crime, somehow; after the February news that showrunner Ilene Chaiken was leaving previous one SVU Executive producer Bryan Goluboff has been named shortly as the new showrunner. Before SVU has appointed its new showrunner . Did his tenure begin with fresh blood?
Of course, Organized crime It’s not about saying goodbye to Cho or Maldonado who brought these two new detectives, and it’s just a false alarm. While unconfirmed, I suspect fans won’t see as much of Nona Parker Johnson’s Nova in season three, if at all, unfortunately. Season 2 ended with the revelation that she had resigned from the NYPD afterwards a very intense arc and the strong implication that he had killed Webb. If he remains absent, this also opens up a vacancy within the working group.
At the end of the day, we still can’t say for sure if the new investigators mean Maldonado and Cho are about to leave, but I’m not ruling that out at this point. Rick Gonzalez and Brent Antonello are just the latest actors to play new detectives for the Wolf Entertainment universe in the new season. Law and order: SVU has a newcomer on the way also, as well. Chicago police Furthermore has a new regular detective series which will expand this intelligence unit.
