The three had already been sentenced in 2013, but the trial was canceled after a maneuver considered illegal by the defense

Three men accused of joining a criminal group responsible for the rescue of two prisoners in January 2005 will be tried on Wednesday (9) by the Montenegro jury court, in the Caí valley. During the action, which provided for the shots on a municipal road, the criminal policeman Jair Fiorin was hit and died later in the hospital. The case is conducted by the Public Ministries Caio isolated Aro and Valério Cogo, designated by the Jury Support Center (NAJ).

The defendants are responsible for qualified murder for awkward reasons, the use of an appeal that has made it difficult to defend the victim and act to guarantee the impunity of another crime, as well as responding for related crimes, such as thefts, private prison and band formation. The crime shocked the community at that moment for the violence used and the impact on the prison system.

The three had already been sentenced in 2013, but the trial was canceled after a maneuver considered illegal by the defense. Also that year, in several cases, the leader of the Saved Group and the companion who organized the operation outside the penitentiary were sentenced. The new trial aims to end, definitively, the case that has been taking place for almost two decades.
