Bolsonaro has the first signs of spontaneous intestinal movements in two weeks

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) presented the first signs of spontaneous movement in the intestine on Sunday 27 after his surgery on April 13. According to a medical bulletin at the DF Star Hospital in Brasilia, where Bolsonaro is hospitalized, these signs are initial and the former president has yet to feed exclusively by injection in the veins.

The return of spontaneous intestinal movements is a central step in the recovery of Bolsonaro after the 13 -hour operation that issued intestinal adhesions and reconstructed the abdominal wall to face the complications of the cutting wound in 2018, in attack during the presidential campaign.

The new medical bulletin also reports that Bolsonaro presented “Progressive Improvement” in the liver exams that worried about the whole week. The delay in emptying the stomach, however, remains. There are no discharge forecasts for the former president and the recommendation is that it does not receive visits.

The hospitalization of Bolsonaro was caused by a sudden illness on April 11, during an agenda inside Rio Grande Do Norte. The former president had an obstacle due to a double intestinal turn that hindered intestinal transit.
