After three seasons, The Boys is still one of Prime Video’s flagship series, which unexpectedly renewed it for a new burst of episodes. Eric Kripke and his team are back writer’s room Adapting the continuation of the adventures of Huey (Jack Quaid), Butcher (Karl Urban) and others.
The latter will also receive their work in season 4 of The Boys, now that the protector (Anthony Starr) is stronger than ever and can be counted on by his side. Spoiler alert
Spoiler:
About her son Ryan (played by Cameron Crowe). This one also risks becoming one of the series’ great villains, as evidenced by his satisfied smile in the final episode, when his father kills a man in front of him and the crowd cheers him on.
(end of spoilers)
Since the series’ showrunner decided to break away from The Boys comics on certain arcs, anything is possible. Ryan could be the one to deal the fatal blow to his father, the one who already accidentally killed his mother… what he meant in his interview with Kripke. TVLine a little while ago:If Ryan turns into a sociopath like Homelander, it will be the apocalypse. But if Butcher can get him out of there, we might have the only person who can fight him.“.
In short, we’ll have to wait until 2023 to find out.
The Vought Company will have to rebuild itself in Season 4, when 7 will be gone after certain characters die or leave. And the arrival of two superheroes should bolster the Homelander team: Valorie Curry (The Following, The Lost Symbol) and Suzanne Hayward (most notably seen in Orange Is The New Black) will lend their characterizations to Firecracker and Sister Sage, respectively.
We don’t know anything about their powers at the moment, but Eric Kripke posted a hint on Twitter that these new Supes won’t be there to be part of the scenery:
This new Supe is one of the best and craziest ever written #Boys. You are going to love them. And by love, I mean being absolutely terrified and a little nauseous. Welcome to the family guys. #TheBoysTV @TheBoysTV @PrimeVideo @SPTV https://t.co/Pa9qMBFqwt

“These new soups are some of the craziest characters ever written for The Boys. You will love them. And when I say worship them, more than that, they’ll scare you and make you a little nauseous.“.
Everything is said.
