For Freddie Prinze Jr., Fred’s interpreter, the studio ‘doesn’t have the courage’ to make Scooby-Doo 3 for over 18s
Star of the live-action films of Scooby Doo in the early 2000s, Matthew Lillardinterpreter of Sausagerevealed in an interview with TooFab as I would like to see another feature with the original cast, but with an indicative rating for over 18 years. Screenwriter of the two adaptations of the cartoon to the cinema, James Gunn commented on the possibilities of this continuation happening.
starring Freddie Prinz Jr. (Fred), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne), Linda Cardellini (Velma), Matthew Lillard (Sausage) and Neil Fanning (Scooby), Scooby Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) were a blockbuster, but were slammed by critics. Currently, the films have a large fan base.
In response to the matter of TooFab, Prinz Jr. wrote on Twitter that the studio (Warner Bros.) would not have the courage to do Scooby-Doo 3for people over 18 years old. Nonetheless, Gunn replied the actor and said, “I think they would do it if we asked. I just don’t think I have the time right now!”
