You may have spent some time seeing the catalog of a streaming platform without having an idea of what to look at. In these situations, many people give up finding a new series or movies.
But technology can make this a memory of the past. Netflix has announced that it is testing an artificial intelligence interface that will allow users to describe what they are looking for.
Currently, it is possible to search only the title of a film or series, the name of the cast or the genre of the content. And the same streaming platform admits that this limits (and very) the recommendations provided.
We want to find series or movies using colloquial phrases. For example, “I want something funny” or “I want something frightening, but not very frightening, and perhaps a little fun, but not so fun to laugh.”
Elizabeth Stone, technological director of Netflix
As for artificial intelligence tools such as chatgpt or Gemini, “this type of sentence will generate results” on the platform. The trailers that the user is looking at or what mentions in a search will also be used to customize the suggested content in real time.

The post are leafing through Netflix without knowing what to look at? This should be finished first in digital look early.
