Netflix found her new Ozark and it was the creator of Dawson and Scream

If you have one date in your calendar by June, this is 19th. On that day, Netflix will place the first season of Waterfront on the Internet, a series inspired by a real story.

For the first collaboration with the stream platform, Kevin Williamson bets on the family drama that takes place in North Carolina as Dawson. And that’s where the comparison stops.

Netflix’s winning recipe

If we believe that the trailers announced by Netflix, the water supply is closer to the Ozar – another platform for the trafficking around the drug trafficking – rather than Dawson. This follows the Buckyki family, which dominates everything from the local fishing industry to the food.

Patriarch, Harlan Buckley, who recovered from two heart attacks, his wife’s wife and her son Kane start a large bath to maintain the family empire. Despite their efforts, the business is bad. Harlan then decides to update the torch.

Contradicted his demons, the daughter of Buckyki – a drug addict, in the treatment of detoxification, who lost his son’s guardianship – finds himself in a difficult relationship that will endanger the future of the family.

An attractive cast

What is thrown into our eyes is his heterogeneous actor, but no less attractive. After the serial killers were visited in Mindhunter, and then Mickey Haller had trouble in defending Lincoln, actor Holt McCalan plays the Patriarch who is ready to do everything here to save his family business.

Maria Bell, who saw in NCIS, his wife in camps, Jake Walking Dead performs his son and Melissa Benoist (Glee) his daughter. Finally, the Topher Grace and Dave annable (Yellowstone) will complete this distribution.

8 episodes of Waterfront will be available on June 19 on Netflix.
