“Moon Knight” would already have its second season in development.
In a video shared on TikTok, young Haya, daughter of director Mohamed Diab, questioned her father about the renewal of the series. While he looks confused, the video also reveals the presence of actor Oscar Isaac. Playing with speculation, Isaac’s answer is simple: “Why else would we be in Cairo”? And in fact, they all appear on a boat on the Nile River.
Marvel had previously indicated that the series would have a second season when it releases the final chapter video. Although it was released as a miniseries, the attraction received a telltale warning in its latest preview, released in early May, which called the final installment a “season finale.”
With this, “Moon Knight” becomes Marvel’s second renewed series, after “Loki” has secured its second season.
Interestingly, the new attraction didn’t have the same impact as the previous series. And while comic book fans may have seen references to the events of the “Fist of Vengeance” saga, the truth is that the idea of superhero mental conflict and personality disorder has already been explored better and more thoroughly in the psychedelic series. “Legion”. “(2017-2019).
The series ended with the reconciliation between the personalities of Mark Spector and Steven Grant (played by Oscar Isaac of the “Star Wars” franchise) and the emergence of a third personality, Jake Lockley, which is expected to be explored in the sequel.
The production was developed by writer-producer Jeremy Slater, who created “The Exorcist” and “The Umbrella Academy” (also about superheroes, on Netflix), and the team includes the aforementioned director Mohamed Diab (“Clash”), one of the great recent revelations of Egyptian cinema, in addition to the duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, independent horror specialists, such as the award-winning and cult “Spring” (2014) and “The Cult” (2017).
