On June 22, TMC began airing Yellowstone, a contemporary western created by Taylor Sheridan (director of Comancheria and screenwriter of Sicario) and Jon Linson (producer of Sons of Anarchy) with much fanfare. And a few weeks later, as soon as the first season ended, the channel decided to go ahead with a live season 2 much to the delight of fans.
Starring the iconic Kevin Costner, who returns here to his first love, this phenomenal series follows the members of the Dutton clan, a divided family united only by the protection of the family empire. They fight together so that no one can encroach on their land.
But if Yellowstone fans were excited to discover the first two seasons of the show at once, they’ll have to wait to find out what’s in store for John, Casey (Luke Grimes), Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) in Season 3, as the future Starting Sunday, TMC will offer French cinema classics every Thursday night. The channel will launch on August 11 with Plain Soleil with Alain Delon.
For the most impatient who can’t wait for TMC to bring the series back on air, the entirety of Yellowstone Season 3 is now available on Salto’s streaming platform. A fourth burst of episodes, which aired between November 2021 and January 2022 on the Paramount Network, should also be coming to the platform very soon.
A real hit with audiences in the US, where the season 4 finale drew more than 15 million viewers, Yellowstone was renewed for a 5th season last February. Its success also allowed it to spawn 3 spin-offs, titled 1883, 1923, and 6666, thus expanding the universe of the series.
The first is a mini-series that follows the rocky journey of the Dutton family as they leave Tennessee for Montana to find what would become the Yellowstone Ranch. The other two, still directed by Taylor Sheridan, have yet to be released and should be coming to Paramount+ soon.
