Cinemalindsay Lohan says he can’t make Netflix movies ‘forever’ and focuses on new projects

The actress prepares return to theaters with very crazy Friday and unpublished series at Hulu

Lindsay Lohan stated that he is ready to diversify his career after starring in three Christmas romantic comedies produced by Netflix. In an interview with Hethe actress stated that while enjoying making light and welcoming movies, she feels time to explore new possibilities.

“I always want to make movies that make people happy, who unite people. But with Netflix, I thought, ‘Okay, now we need to think of other things.’ I can’t make movies like this forever.”

Between 2022 and 2024, Lindsay starred in Falling for Christmas, Irish Wish and Our Little Secretall released by the streaming platform. The three feature films led Netflix’s global ranking in their premieres. The most recent, Our Little Secretreached 32.4 million views on its first weekendbeing the best performance of the actress on the platform so far.


Return to theaters with Freakier Friday

The actress’s next step is in theaters, with the launch of Freakier Fridaysequence of comedy Very crazy Friday (2003). The film hits theaters in August, with production from Disneyand brings Jamie Lee Curtis Back with Lindsay’s side.

“It was all very quiet. I felt comfortable filming, and I think this is what the movie conveys: lightness and fun,” he said. “When I saw the second version, I wanted to get up and dance. I thought, ‘That’s cool. I want people to do it too.”

Despite the change of focus to the cinema, Lindsay is not leaving streaming. The actress will star in and produce the series Count My Liesbased on the homonymous novel, under development by the Hulu. If approved, it will be Lohan’s first lead role in a TV series.
