The leader of the ATP ranking Jannik Sinner experiences the best season of his career and reaches the end of the 2025 Roland Garros with morals and consistency. At the age of 23, Italian already has a title of Grand Slam – Australian Open won this year – and could become the first tennis player in Italy to beat the Parisian tournament by Adriano Panatta in 1976.
Sinner had a firm and convincing path for the decision. He made his debut with a silent victory over the American Marcos Giron and then started without fears for Richard Gasquet and Jan-Lennard Struff. In the quarterfinals, he eliminated Russian Danil Medvedev in direct sets and in the semifinal before Novak Djokovic. In a high -level performance, he defeated the Serbian 6/4, 6/4 and 6/3, putting an end to Djokovic’s dream to win the 25th Grand Slam of his career.
The title of Paris would be the second Slam of the Slam of Slam and would confirm its ascent as the new protagonist of world tennis. In 2024, in addition to the title in Australian Open, he won the Miami Masters 1000 and the ATP 500 of Vienna and brought Italy to the title of the Davis Cup at the end of the year. Now Sinner wants to write his name in history on a surface that is traditionally not the most favorable for the tennis of his style – but where he showed a huge technical and physical evolution.
