A24 confirmed that Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 years of slavery) and Renate Reinsve (The worst person in the world) will be the protagonists. The production of the film should start this summer. With only 19 years old, Parsons It will be the youngest director in the history of A24.

The Backrooms It began as an internet phenomenon and has evolved into one of the most commented horror works in recent years, especially among young audiences. In 2022, Kane Parsonsthen only 16, directed and launched on YouTube the short The Backrooms (Found Footage)a Found Footage -style video that shows a young man accidentally entering the backrooms while filming with a VHS camera. The video quickly viralized for its distressing climate, creative practical effects and claustrophobic atmosphere.
