Colombia indicates the 2nd suspicion involvement in the attack on Uribes


Petro asked the United States for help and the United Nations in investigations

The public pension service in Colombia indicated a second suspicion for the involvement in the attack on the senator and the candidate for the presidency Miguel Uribes last Saturday (7) in Bogota. These are Carlos Eduardo Mora González, who would have participated in the logistics of the attack. The man is accused of attempted aggravated murder, illegal possession of firearms and use of minors in the practice of crimes.




The prosecutor’s office is still investigating two other people for the involvement in case. So far a 15 -year -old has been arrested, accused of being the author of The Shots Against Uribes during an event. The young man denies.

The Colombian president Gustavo Petro asked for help from the unaling of the United States to investigate the attack, as well as proposed the creation of a commission of external experts, financed by the United Nations (UN), to help investigations.

Uribes, 39, is hospitalized in the hospital in serious condition after receiving two heads and one in the leg. He is a member of the Democratic Center, the main opposition party of Petro.
