The Italian 18 -year -old is elected driver of the day after ensuring his first podium in Formula 1.

Kimi Antonelli, only 18 years old, was one of the greatest surprises of Formula 1 this season. Speaking of the decisive maneuver against Pasters, Antonelli said: “I made a good start and I managed to get closer. In the first corner, I tried to maintain the speed as much as possible.

When I was side by side with him in curves 2, I knew it would be advantageous, especially in curves 3. I am very happy to have managed to keep the position. “

When asked about his next ambition, Antonelli said: “This is the goal. Without a doubt this track was good for us, the car was incredible during the weekend and I hope to keep this rhythm in the next races”.

Mercedes occupies the second position in the Builders championship, the result of the constant performance of his two cyclists.
