The broadcast of the first two episodes of the Brazilian series “Rensga Hits!” in the song “Cinema Especial”, Wednesday evening (3/8) generated a record audience for Globo. There were 22 points in Rio and 21 in Sao Paulo, representing the highest rates in the range in more than a year since May last year.
The plot, starring Alice Wegmann, talks about the universe of women in the sertanejo. The production was originally developed for Globoplay and, after being shown on open TV, the first four chapters were released on the platform. There will be eight in total, with a new episode released every week.
Written by Renata Corrêa (“Silêncio da Chuva”), the plot follows Raíssa (Alice Wegmann, from “Onde Nascem os Fortes”), a young country woman who travels to the big city with the intention of becoming a singer. She starts doing small shows in a restaurant, but soon discovers that one of her compositions of hers has been stolen and recorded by another singer, Gláucia (Lorena Comparato, from “Impuros”), which starts a rivalry between the two.
The production also features Deborah Secco (“Salve-se Quem Puder”), Stella Miranda (“Carnaval”), Guida Vianna (“Valentins”), Jeniffer Dias (“Amor de Mãe”), Sidney Santiago (” Second Chamada “), Maurício Destri (seen in a recent clip by Manu Gavassi), Alejandro Claveaux (” Coisa Mais Linda “) and also marks the return of Lúcia Veríssimo to the screen, eight years after” Amor à Vida “(2013). Additionally, there are the appearances of presenter Rafa Kalimann and singer Naiara Azevedo.
