The international premiere will take place on June 26 at the prestigious Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival in Bologna, Italy, an event dedicated to preserving and rediscovered historical cinematic works.
The restoration marks the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the film and results from a partnership between the Brazilian Cinematheque, Cineteca Di Bologna and Lauper Films. The project was sponsored by The Film Foundation, an organization dedicated to film preservation, with funding from the Hobson Family/Lucas Foundation.
In Brazil, the new copy will be aired in the second half, within the program of the project Critical review of Brazilian cinemain the Brazilian Cinematheque, curated by Carlos Augusto Calil.
About the Movie
