The director of “The Black Phone” will produce a new horror film

Director Scott Derrickson, responsible for the first “Doctor Strange” and the recent horror hit “The Black Phone”, has already started producing a new supernatural film.

This is “Room 428”, which will be written and directed by the duo Brett and Drew T. Pierce (“The Witch Next Door”).

Plot details have not yet been disclosed.

The project will be co-produced by C. Robert Cargill (co-writer of “The Black Phone”) and Sherryl Clark (producer of “Cloverfield: Monster”), but does not have a premiere date yet.

A hit with audiences and critics alike, “The Black Telephone” has already grossed more than $ 140 million and is 83% liked on the Rotten Tomatoes site, which has brought Derrickson’s career back to the fore after moving away from production of the second Doctor Strange film during the preparation phase.
